How to Level Up in MU Fighters: The Free-to-Play Leveling Guide

Welcome, warrior! Leveling is the foundation of everything in MU Fighters: it’s how you reach level 400, do your first reset, and start stacking points to get truly strong. The good news is you can do it 100% free — just hunt the right spots, ride the events, and play together. This guide shows you exactly where to grind at each bracket, how to squeeze XP out of the events, and why party and guild make you climb way faster.

The basics you need to know

Before picking a spot, learn the server rules:

  • Normal XP: 20× and Master XP: 3× (Medium-Hard profile). This isn’t pirate-server infinite XP — you feel every level, but the progression is fair.
  • Level cap: 400. Once you hit 400, it’s reset time.
  • Reset via the /reset command (any player can use it): requires level 400, costs 1,000,000 zen × (number of resets + 1), sends you back to level 1, redistributes your stats, and grants +500 points per reset (they stack). No reset limit, and your Master Level is kept.

The reset cost math is simple and worth memorizing:

Reset #Zen cost
1st1,000,000 (1kk)
2nd2,000,000 (2kk)
3rd3,000,000 (3kk)
Nth1,000,000 × (number of resets + 1)

Bottom line: leveling well = earning zen along the way = paying for resets. The spots below drop jewels and excellent items you sell or use, funding your own resets without ever needing cash.

Best spots by level bracket

The classic map progression on the server is: Lorencia → Noria → Devias → Atlans → Lost Tower → Tarkan → Aida → Kanturu (and onward). The golden rule is simple: hunt the map whose monster level range matches your level, because that’s where the map’s drop groups are active. Hunting too far above or below your bracket wastes loot.

The table below is your route map. The level ranges are each zone’s drop-group range (that’s where the listed jewels and excellent items fall):

Range (map level)MapBest jewel dropsExcellent / sets
1–30NoriaJewel of Bless— (no excellent group)
2–40LorenciaBless, SoulScale set + sword

47–90Lost TowerSoul, Life (+ group 12 Number 15)Legendary and Sacred sets
43–74AtlansSoul, Creation (+ group 12 Number 15)Dragon and Sacred sets + spear and bow
72–93TarkanLife, Creation (+ group 12 Number 15)Ashcrow, Eclipse, Storm Crow sets

95–137Swamp of CalmnessCreation, Guardian, HarmonyGreat Dragon, Hurricane sets
102–148LaCleonGuardian, HarmonyDragon Knight, Volcano, Sunlight sets

Honest server note: in Devias, Lost Tower, Atlans, and Tarkan the jewel drop includes the group 12, Number 15 pair (the server catalog treats it as Jewel of Chaos, but what literally drops is that group’s item). Don’t count on guaranteed Chaos in those zones; count on the named jewels above.

Quick leveling route

  1. Level 1–40 (beginner): start in Lorencia (2–40) and use Noria (1–30) for your very first levels. You already pull Bless and Soul here — keep everything.
  2. Level ~19–90 (intermediate): move up to Dungeon, then Devias and Lost Tower. This is where real excellent sets start dropping (Brass, Plate, Legendary, Sacred).
  3. Level ~70–120 (advanced): Tarkan, Icarus, and Aida. High jewels (Life, Creation, Guardian) show up and the sets get strong.
  4. Level ~95–148 (leveling end-game): Kanturu I, Swamp of Calmness, and LaCleon. Harmony only drops starting at Swamp and LaCleon. This is the final stretch of the grind to 400.

Use events to accelerate XP

Three mini-games run for everyone and, on top of the XP and Zen they already gave, now deliver jewels and boxes straight to your inventory on completion — every participant gets rewarded (you don’t have to be the winner). It’s the most efficient way to combine XP with loot.

  • Devil Square (levels 1–7)
  • Blood Castle (levels 1–8)
  • Chaos Castle (levels 1–7)

The item rewards scale by tier (the event’s level bracket). Here’s what drops on completion:

TierEvent levelsJewels droppedBonus box
Low1–3Jewel of Bless, Jewel of Soul— (no box)
Mid4–6Soul, Chaos, LifeBox of Luck +0 (basic)
High7 (Devil Square / Chaos Castle) and 7–8 (Blood Castle)Creation, Guardian, HarmonyBox of Luck +8 (excellent)

Practical takeaway: the higher the event level you can complete, the better the jewels and the box. In the high tiers you walk away with noble jewels (Creation, Guardian, Harmony) and a Box of Luck +8. Run every event you can, every time — it’s XP, Zen, and jewels in one package.

Invasions: XP and boxes by the bucket

Beyond the mini-games, the server runs scheduled invasions that flood maps with monsters — great for farming XP in a group. The two active ones:

InvasionMobsMapsDurationFrequency
Golden Invasion9 golden mobsLorencia, Noria, Devias, Atlans, Tarkan30 minevery 4h
Red Dragon Invasionper the server’s current configurationper the server’s current configuration30 minevery 6h

Watch the global announcement. When the invasion opens, rush to the map and farm with your party — golden mobs and bosses give fat XP and can drop Box of Luck.

Bosses drop boxes

Many server bosses drop Box of Luck when they die, with box chance and quality rising by the boss tier:

Boss tierRecommended level rangeBox chanceBox qualityBoss examples
Mid60–9020%basic (+0)Balrog, Lizard King, Zaikan
High94–11725%excellent (+8)Dark Phoenix, Witch Queen, Hell Maine
End120–14550%level 10Selupan, Erohim, Devil Lord, Bloody Witch Queen

End bosses have a 50% chance to drop a box — the best return on the server. As you climb brackets, trade Mid bosses for High and then End.

Economy: turn your loot into resets

Leveling isn’t only XP — it’s stacking zen and jewels to fund resets and gear up your character. Two no-real-money paths:

  1. Convenience shop (Zen): the Loja MU Fighters NPC stands in Lorencia and sells potions (Large Healing/Mana Potion, Antidote), Town Portal Scroll, first-level wings (Wings of Elf/Heaven/Satan), and Horn of Dinorant. Zen prices per the server’s current configuration. Stay stocked so you can hunt without pointless trips home.
  2. Event Points shop (/loja): you earn Event Points simply by killing monstersmax(1, monster level / 10) per kill. The higher the mob, the more points. Spend them with /loja (shows balance and catalog) and /loja N to buy item N. Catalog:
# (/loja N)ItemPrice (Event Points)
1Jewel of Bless50
2Jewel of Soul60
3Jewel of Chaos90
4Jewel of Life150
5Jewel of Creation150
6Jewel of Guardian200
7Box of Luck120
8Box of Kundun (excellent)600
9Wings of Elf1000

In other words: every monster you kill while leveling also becomes Event Points — the grind pays for itself. Bank points as you climb and trade them for jewels or wings when you need them.

Party and guild tips

Soloing works, but grouping flies. Three reasons to build a party:

  • Events want a group. Blood Castle, Chaos Castle, and Devil Square are far easier (and more profitable) with a tight party — and every participant gets the jewels and the box on completion, not just whoever landed the last hit.
  • Invasions are a race. Golden and Red Dragon Invasion last only 30 minutes. With the party spread across the maps (Golden runs in Lorencia, Noria, Devias, Atlans, and Tarkan), you clear the golden mobs before time runs out.
  • End bosses are a team job. Bosses like Selupan, Erohim, and Devil Lord are level 120–145 and drop a 50% box. Tackling them in a party cuts the risk and splits the farm.

Leveling-group checklist

  1. Build a party in the right bracket — everyone in the same level range so you hunt the same map without waste.
  2. Agree on the event — enter together into the highest-tier mini-game you can clear (more jewels, better box).
  3. Schedule the invasions — Golden every 4h, Red Dragon every 6h. Be ready when the global notice pops.
  4. Queue the bosses — as you climb brackets, rotate Mid → High → End to maximize Box of Luck.
  5. Join a guild — a guild is where you find a steady party, share spots, and organize invasions and bosses. Solo you level; in a guild you level fast.

Game plan (summary)

  1. 1–40: Lorencia/Noria, bank Bless and Soul, restock at the Loja MU Fighters.
  2. 40–90: Dungeon → Devias → Lost Tower, start farming excellent sets and run Devil Square/Blood Castle/Chaos Castle at low/mid tiers.
  3. 90–148: Tarkan → Icarus → Aida → Kanturu I → Swamp → LaCleon, events at high tier (Creation/Guardian/Harmony + Box +8), High/End bosses, and invasions in a party.
  4. 400: hit /reset, spend your points, and start over stronger. Repeat — no reset limit.

Free leveling in MU Fighters is just route + events + group. Follow the map path, never skip an event, and keep a guild party at your side. See you at reset 1. Happy hunting!
